I would like to thank everyone at “Forever Piers” for their excellent work, professionalism, kindness and understanding on behalf of my brother Greg Schurmann. My brother who is an avid outdoors man, hunting, fishing, and valuing the beauty of nature, is recently started struggling with mobility issues. Forever Piers worked with him in accessing the outdoors through building and installing a wheelchair accessible pier. Improving his mobility and access to the outdoor has lifted his spirits and encourages him to continue the lifestyle he is accustomed to. He can now enjoy the beautiful lake as well as fish, which he was unable to do until they rebuilt his pier. His quality of life has improved with this beautiful addition to his lake front property. My family and I want to thank Forever Piers for their thoughtfulness of his situation, and their ability to adjust to his need. Besides doing what was required of them for the installation, they went above and beyond with little jobs around the property that had needed to get done for a long time. The feeling he had for getting those projects done and in a timely manner was so appreciated. Not to mention the ability to roll out on the pier today is more then we could have asked for. I recommend this company and the people associated to Forever Pier for any home project needs, whether you are disabled or not. It is such a beautiful pier with little to no maintenance needs. I also will be enjoying this new pier for years to come. Thank you so much.

Quality 5/5 Solid steel frame, 4” pier posts pounded to depth (+20’ if needed) which sinks into bedrock with a hydraulic hammer, choice of deck and skirt colors, takes time to lay out pier height needed, really cool ladder
Staff 5/5 Easy to work with, cordial, clean, prepared
Price 4/5 Not the most expensive but not the least expensive. In the end nobody complains when getting quality
Schedule 5/5 On time, dealt with crazy spring snow delays, informed when coming to site
Other 5/5 Did what was promised, in the end I would use Forever Piers again"

Tom/Lynn:
The stairs give a whole new dimension to the pier. We had friends over last week, and we couldn't get anyone off the pier- they were enjoying it so much. Since our water is pretty shallow where the stairs are at, they are a great access point for stepping into the lake for a swim, getting onto a raft/float, or just hanging out in the water close to the pier. The center railing makes all the difference in the world since the stairs can sometimes be slippery- especially after having a few drinks on the pier.
Again- love the pier. It's one of the best investments (if not the THE BEST) we made to our lake house.

Can't think of much, but possibly consider using three slats to hold the deck boards together instead of two. It may help the ends of the deck boards from cupping should that become a concern.

The contract was very detailed and accurately reflected our prior communication with the owner regarding our expectations. Timeline for payments were clearly outlined as well.. The installation was handled quickly and efficiently. The owner reached out several times with updates. The pier was installed prior to the estimated completion date. Overall, the communication (written and verbal), craftsmanship, professionalism and quality of the materials and completed pier was excellent!
